A press conference was held today where Jacksons MMA Series announced their first show of 2012 scheduled for January 21 at the Hard Rock. The seventh installment of the series for this rapidly growing promotion will feature a big fight from two little ladies. Michelle Waterson (8-3) will take on seventh ranked Diana Rael (3-1) at 105lbs in the main event. The co-main event features Jackson Series alum and Bellator veteran Henry Martinez (6-1) facing Rael's Seriel Boxe teammate Ali Hanjani (2-1). The middle of the pro card has a Bantamweight matchup between Jackson's Travis Marx (18-3) vs Yaotzin Meza (18-6) from The Lab in Arizona.

Evolution Combat Sports Championship took sibling rivalry to a new level on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Curry County Event Center as brothers Paco and Angel Castillo were pitted against one another in the main event of Evolution 2. But the bad blood that had built leading to the fight was erased following a spectacular split decision that showcased every aspect of mixed martial arts. As the night’s main event began both fighters took the center of the cage and hurled rapid fire haymakers and roundhouse kicks until a takedown had them both off their feet flying through the air.

Against rumors of dying, Strikeforce is starting off the New Year with a bang as the middleweight championship is put up for grabs when Luke Rockhold makes his first title defense against UFC veteran Keith Jardine.
