    Battlegrounds II, FIT NHB’s monthly amateur kickboxing/ boxing event, took place on Friday, October 7, 2011, and involved gyms from Albuquerque and surrounding areas. There were ten amateur matches, featuring boxers and kickboxers at 90-lbs to heavyweight, from FIT NHB, J5MMA, Fighters Club, Perez Boxing, LA Boxing, Los Vatos, Rosales Karate, ABQ BJJ and others.   • 2011 Southwest Grappling Championship Just Around the Corner

    Early registration ends next Thursday for the 2011 Southwest Grappling Championship. Registration is available, cash only, at the door. Presented by the Combat Sports Club, this is the last event of the year and will be held Saturday, October 22 at Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho, NM. The tournament is also the final event in the 2011 Team Challenge which will award large custom trophies to the top five teams.
