Sibling rivalry reaches a whole new level when brothers Paco and Angel Castillo face off in the cage as the main event of Evolution Combat Sports Championships.  “EVOLUTION 2” is set to take place at the Curry County Event Center in Clovis, NM, on December 10.

Possibly the first ever professional sibling cage match, this 130-pound catchweight fight promises to be an electrifying battle between brothers who do not get along.

Heather “Hurricane” Clark (4-1) of the legendary Jackson’s Mixed Martial Arts drops a weight class to face the very tough Chelsea “The Italian Princess” Colarelli (6-3) of Grandmaster Mike Lister’s MAA  in the 115-pound co-main event.

Mean1 MMA & Fitness, founded by Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine, brings several fighters to both the pro and amateur card for Evolution 2.  Mean1’s Adrian Cruz, who fought for Evolution as an amateur, will be making his professional debut at 135-lbs against Force of One MMA’s Gilbert Cuhen (1-1). Cuhen is a member of our United States Air Force, who recently won the advanced 140-pound division at Grapplefest VI on October 22 of this year.

Also representing Mean1 is Evolution’s own Eric Kucevic (2-2)– fighter, matchmaker, coach – who will face Brad “Carbomb” Nordquist (7-22), King of the Cage veteran with knockout power and a hunger to win his next fight.

Rounding out the pro card is Daniel Pinheiro (1-0) who is personally training with Ultimate Fighter Diego Brandao against MAAC’s Filiberto Ramirez who will make his professional debut at 135.

The amateur card is loaded with scrappy fighters from all over New Mexico and Texas, representing the toughest teams around: Mean1 MMA & Fitness, MAAC, Honor MMA, Force of One MMA, Lujan’s MMA, Clovis Dojo, Cullum Groundfighting, Wolf Pack, Cwest BJJ, The Works, Ainofen MMA, and Leonel.

Jeremiah Cullum (4-0, Cullum Groundfighting) vs. Jonathan Lopez (5-0 Leonel) as the amateur 125-lb main event, both fighters undefeated.
Roy Saucedo (2-0, Force of One) vs. Tanner Varela (1-1, MAAC) at 145-lbs. Saucedo will be fighting in honor of his recently deceased wife.
Marc Hightower (1-0, Cwest BJJ) vs. Javier Palacio (2-0, Mean1), at 155-lbs, both undefeated.
Pedro Carbo (1-2, Honor MMA) vs. Oscar Navarette (2-1, Wolf Pack) at 155-lb.
Peter Bouton (0-2, Ainofen MMA) vs. Mike Escobar (1-0, Lujan’s MMA) at 170-lbs.
Eric Bailon (1-0, Clovis Dojo) vs. Harvey Suarez (1-0, MAAC) at 135-lbs.
Matt Gonzales (0-2, MAAC) vs. Anthony Rozema (0-0, Mean1, son of Coach Scott Marlowe) at 170-lbs.
Bobby Lockhart (0-2, Tom Sauceda) vs. Steve Romero (Josh Montoya) at 185-lbs.
Justin Dudley (0-0, Clovis Dojo) vs. Christian Reyes (0-0) at 170-lbs.
Andres Ramirez (0-0, Clovis Dojo) vs. Jarrel Sparenberg (0-1, The Works) at 135-lbs. Ramirez will be fighting in memory of his recently passed son.
Josh Kent (0-0, Honor MMA) vs. Shannon Curlee (0-3, Mean1 MMA) at 165-lbs.

Evolution Combat Sports Championships is a New Mexico MMA Promotion, founded by Martin and Sam Singleterry in 2008, and based in Clovis, NM. Since that time, they have held Evolution 1, the first MMA event in Clovis, which was held in the Curry County Events Center in October 2010; as well as several installments of Evolution: Friday Night Fights.

Their mission is to “provide memorable entertainment opportunities to our fans while offering opportunities for our MMA athletes to advance their professional or amateur careers.”

Diego Brandao, contestant on this season of “The Ultimate Fighter” is a poster child for the promotion, having fought in Evolution 1 and Friday Night Fights 2, and he is now bringing one of his personal trainees to the Evolution ring.
