Barbarian Fight Club light heavyweight champion Brian "Choo-Choo" Daniel took a trip down memory lane on April 16 during "Detention" at Amelia County High School, as he returned to his home town to face Will "The Silencer" Smith in his first title defense. The Amelia crowd roared its approval as Daniel's name was announced. But there wasn’t much sizzle in his first 205-pound title defense as neither he nor his opponent inflicted any real damage during the five-round contest. Daniel maintained his title with a razor thin split decision — a result that even surprised the champion. "It feels great to keep the belt and it was cool to hear everyone chant...Comments (2)

Why Steroids Exist in BJJ
As of late there has beenallot ofbuzz in the BJJ community about the usage of steroids. Caio Terra did an awesome interview last week about the use of steroids in BJJ and took a great stand concerning the issue. However as his statment is true, unless Caio’s words turns into action the usage of steroids will continue to occur within the grappling world. The reason is because BJJ is not a legitimate sport that has gathered worldwide notoriety yet. Reason People who compete in BJJ are not getting paid to compete. One Man in the Way of MMA in New York
It's April in New York. Beaches are opening on Long Island. Fair-weather joggers are more easily coaxed into Central Park. And Albany is square in the middle of the political horse trading that is the legislative session. Among the issues being debated on the capital is a perennial battle for the sanctioning of mixed martial arts competition in the Empire State.
