XFC returns to Sao Paulo, Brazil with the XFCi 4 Semi-finals. Athletes in the men’s Lightweight, Featherweight, Middleweight and Welterweight division will face each other in the Semi-finals in the fourth installment of the XFC International Latin American tournament.

XFC International President Myron Molotky commented “We are one step closer to the finals and seeing the rise of new champions in XFCi 4 with the men’s semifinals. We have witnessed wars inside the XFC Hexagon to advance to this point…we expect even more with so much on the line in XFCi 4.”

The Main Event Super Fight features USA vs. Brazil, when American XFC contender Waylon Lowe (14-5) steps into the XFC Hexagon against veteran Marcos Rodrigues dos Santos (21-11) from Brazil in a three round, featherweight bout when XFC International returns to Live TV on REDETV. This is Waylon Lowe’s first fight in Brazil and his debut with XFC International, while the versatile dos Santos comes to XFCi4 with a 14 fight winning streak. In the Co-Main Event, XFC women contenders, Brazilian Kalindra Faria (14-3), and Serbian Sanja Sucevic (4-2) face off for a critical battle for domination in the XFCi Super Fight Strawweight division.

This Saturday, March 15, UFC 171 heads to the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Tx. The stacked fight card is available for purchase on pay-per-view and is headed by two heavy handed strikers duking it out for the vacant welterweight title.

There are 13 fights in all on the card and below in this article, USCS reporter and MMA Journalist, Eric Kowal, gives his predictions as to how things will unfold.  

On Friday, March 21, Unified Martial Arts fighter Heather Bassett (1-0) is scheduled to battle Midwest Training Center’s Fallen Fox (3-1) at XFO 50 in Chicago. The XFO event is the organizations historic 50^th professional event. It contains all pro MMA bouts. XFO 50 is taking place in the windy city at the UIC Pavilion. Doors swing open at 5 P.M. CST and fists begin to fly an hour later.

Bassett has been training nearly four years at Unified Martial Arts. UMA is located in remote Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. When Bassett arrived she was full of raw and zero experience in MMA. Under the guidance of Owner/Head trainer Mike Biddle, Heather “Hand Guns” Bassett has transformed into a talent fighter.

Renzo Gracie black belt, Tom DeBlass, is probably the nicest person on the planet next to your mother, but that does not mean he won’t put up a fight.

The fight between two welterweight contenders was a clear choice for "Fight of the Night" earning both Rory MacDonald and Demian Maia a "Performance of the Night" bonus. The Mandalay Bay was filled with pleased fans with the way the two athletes displayed heart in a grueling battle.

MacDonald came out in the first round in a low stance in attempt the fight going to the ground. Each fighter exchanged strikes before Maia snagged a single leg dump takedown. Maia remained in the top position for the majority of the first round. He threw a heavy amount of strikes landing on the grill of MacDonald while in the full mount position. While on bottom, the Canadian showed great maturity while on his back defending against on of the UFC's best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners.
