Once again set in NCGA’s team grappling format, the dual meet will feature a 12-man and one-woman roster on each side that will ultimately determine a victorious team. Each match is scheduled for six minutes, and a point system is allocated for differing types of victories.
The competing schools, which are both based in Milwaukee, are known for their high level of jiu-jitsu. Neutral Ground is headed by Jon “White Trash” Friedland, a BJJ Black Belt under Pedro Sauer, while 360 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is led by Scott Huston, who is currently the state’s top ranked grappler, and a two-time Pan American champion.
As always, the National Cage Grappling Association prides itself on being a family-friendly competition that caters to fans of all ages. Make sure to come out and help support Justin “Bacon” Hutter’s team-based grappling competitions.
Saturday’s event is scheduled to begin at noon and last until 3 p.m. The event will take place at Neutral Ground Milwaukee at 923 Pleasant Avenue, in downtown Milwuakee.
