UFC on Versus 5: A Fan's Guide to Attending the Fight, Weigh-Ins, Octagon Nation Tour, and All Else
When UFC on Versus 5 rolls into Milwaukee there will be no shortage of activities to attend.
From the Octagon Nation Tour that kicks off on Thursday to the After-Parties that should last through Monday morning, US Combat Sports breaks down the organization's entire visit into Brew City.
Thursday, August 11
The fighting fun officially begins in Milwaukee three days before the likes of Dan Hardy, Chris Lytle, Jim Miller, and Ben Henderson touch gloves in The Bradley Center. Set at the Harley-Davidson Museum, the UFC Octagon Nation Tour hosts autograph signings, a UFC Xbox station, physical fitness tests and features a store with the latest UFC merchandise.
The interactive road show takes place between 11:00am – 6:00pm on Thursday and should be a perfect start to a very busy weekend.
Friday, August 12
The activities continue to increase the following day as the UFC Octagon Tour continues to take place between 11:00am – 6:00pm at the Harley Davidson-Museum.
Between 11:00am – 12:00pm, Milwaukee native and UFC lightweight contender Anthony Pettis will conduct an autograph signing.
From 12:00pm – 2:00pm, the UFC Live on Versus Milwaukee Open Workouts will be held in the H-D Museum's Rumble Room. Open to fans, the event's main card fighters will engage in a brief 15-minute workout for fans and media. Below is the scheduled list of fighters participating in the workout.
12:00 – 12:30: Chris Lytle and Charles Oliveira
12:30 – 1:00: Jim Miller and Donald Cerrone
1:00 – 1:30: Dan Hardy and Ben Henderson
Saturday, August 13
The real fun begins on the weekend as fight night draws closer. Starting at 2:00pm, UFC lightweight title contender Clay Guida will host an open Q&A session at the H-D Museum. The doors will open for the event an hour early for fans.
Following Guida's sit down, the UFC Live 5 Weigh-In will take place at the same location. The weigh-ins, also open to the public, is set to begin at 4:00pm.
After the weigh-ins have concluded, Milwaukee's Duke Roufus and Scott Joffe have put together the North American Fighting Championship "Kickboxing Gladiators" event at the Milwaukee Harley-Davidson dealership showroom on Hwy 100 and Silver Spring. The event features UFC hopefuls Chico Camus, Kyle Weickhardt, Sergio Pettis and many more. The doors open at 5:00pm with the fights starting an hour later.
Sunday, August 14
Less than a year after mixed martial arts regulations were instilled in Wisconsin, the Ultimate Fighting Championship makes its first venture into the well-versed market. Featuring a main event slugfest between Hardy and Lytle, a title eliminator between Miller and Henderson, and 20 other top-notch fighters, UFC on Versus 5 hits Milwaukee's Bradley Center.
The doors at The Bradley Center are set to open at 3:30pm, the preliminary fights will begin at 4:45pm, and the main card will take place between 8:00-10:00pm. Safe to say, fans should get their UFC fix come Sunday.

After all is said and done at The Bradley Center, the night is just beginning. The official UFC Live 5 After Party takes place at Pettis' Showtime Sportsbar at 11400 W. Silver Spring Road. Some of the world's top talents will be in attendance at the party including Pettis, Roufus, Urijah Faber, Jim Miller, Joseph Benavidez, Erik Koch, and Danny Castillo.
From the looks beforehand, the UFC's first visit into Milwaukee should not disappoint. Make sure to get your fill this weekend, as a return date may be a ways away.
