Former world champion boxer Antonio Cermeno was kidnapped and killed in his native Venezuela, police said Tuesday.
Cermeno, a World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight (max weight 122 pounds) and featherweight (max weight 126 pounds) champion in the 1990s, was found shot to death Tuesday on a road in the central state of Miranda, local police chief Eliseo Guzman said.

Stroudsburg’s Rich Patishnock to fight for inaugural World Series of Fighting Lightweight Title, Jan. 18
2013 was an amazing year for Pennyslvania based professional mixed martial artist, Rich Patishnock.
Patishnock (6-1 as a pro), who trains at Chamber MMA in East Stroudsburg went 2-0 inside the cage defeating two members of the famed Gracie family, Igor and Gregor, but it was what happened on the last day of the year that made those wins more meaningful.
