KOTC Confrontation: Full Results
Saturday January 15th Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino in Santa Fe, NM. Was the site of a stellar King of the Cage card. Titled Confrontation the show featured a Bantamweight title fight between Albuquerque’s Donald Sanchez and LCF Champ Scott Bear of Oklahoma. Fans were also treated to the action packed first round of the KOTC Young Guns Flyweight Tournament. In total thirteen adrenaline pumping fights thrilled the capacity crowd and proved why KOTC is regarded as a preeminent combat sports organization. -

Junior New York Assemblyman Dean Murray came out in support of MMA at the UFC's press conference at Madison Square Garden, today. The conference, in which UFC president Dana White presented updated numbers on the economic impact that sanctioned MMA would have on New York, provided some of the most interesting information in the reaction of the crowd, led prominently by the Assemblyman. King of Kombat champ Edwin Figueroa to defend against undefeated Jason Sampson
Two undefeated Texas bantamweights will clash in an as-of-yet unannounced King of Kombat event in Austin when Saekson Janjira product Edwin Figueroa defends his bantamweight title against Jason Sampson of Dallas. Both fighters verbally agreed to the match and bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly. The heavy-hitting Figueroa became the KOK champ last August after crushing top Texas bantamweight Johnny Bedford with punches that rendered Bedford unconscious.
