Ranking Criteria

In the spirit of competitive sportsmanship, US Combat Sports - Mid-Atlantic has formulated the MMA and BJJ rankings exclusively for Mid-Atlantic competitors. These rankings are based on a combination of user submission nominations and a neutral third party.

MMA Criteria for the Mid-Atlantic Rankings

1. Must be a Mid-Atlantic resident.
2. Must be a professional fighter.
3. Must have competed in the last 6 months in Mid-Atlantic according to Sherdog.
4. Sherdog is the only source that will be used for MMA records and rankings.
5. Amateur fights and records are not factored in.
6. Criteria and rankings may change as deemed necessary at any time.
7. The weight class assigned to a fighter should be the most recent fight they fought in Mid-Atlantic.

BJJ/Sub Gappling Criteria for the Mid-Atlantic Rankings
1. Must be a Mid-Atlantic resident.
2. Must have competed in the last 6 months
3. The weight class assigned to a grappler should be the most recent macth they grapple in.
4. Competition in absolute divisions will count towards rankings in both open weight and latest competed weight class.
5. Must compete at an Intermediate / Blue Belt level or higher to be considered for rankings.
6. Ranking criteria will include but is not limited to competition stength, weight and tournament strength.
7. Matchs that do not have defined point criteria or are scored based soley on a referee or judges decision will not be considered.

These rankings are updated on a continuous basis to reflect the current standings in the MMA and BJJ scene. Additionally we may adjust the criteria in order to provide the most accurate rankings possible.
