Another Mid-Atlantic Region fighter has landed on the greatest stage of them.

New Jersey's Tom DeBlass announced yesterday via Facebook that he will be making his debut within the Ultimate Fighting Championship later this month.

"I will be fighting in UFC Sweden April 14 against Cyrille Diabate. The plan was to let an injury heal but this is an opportunity I cannot let pass. Thanks everyone and I'll fight hard. Godspeed!"

The Ring of Combat light heavyweight champion will step in for an injured Jorgen Kruth on the UFC on Fuel TV 2 show next Saturday.

DeBlass is undefeated at 7-0 with all professional fights taking place in ROC, an Atlantic City based organization known to feed top fighters into the UFC.

At 29 years of age DeBlass captured the organization's light heavyweight title in just his fifth professional fight. He fought three times last year including a win over UFC veteran Sean Salmon.

DeBlass owns his own academy, Ocean County BJJ but can also be found training at both Ricardo Almeida and Renzo Gracie's academies.

UFC on Fuel TV 2 takes place in Sweden and is headlined by countryman Alexander Gustafsson vs. Thiago Silva.
