A few months ago we introduced the USCS fans to Jordan Gaza, an amateur female mixed martial artist out of Corpus Christi, TX. This weekend, the up-and-coming prospect makes her long awaited professional MMA debut.

Coming off a recent loss, this "Ninja Princess" wants to get back on track by securing a win again Paige Vanzant, also making her pro debut. This will be the first time Gaza is fighting in her hometown of Corpus Christi, something she says is giving her the pre-fight jitters.

"This is the first fight I'm getting a little nervous for. It's not that I'm nervous for my opponent, no disrespect to her, but I'm nervous for the fight and being in front of my friends and family in the crowd," Gaza said.

This former high school cheerleader is only 19 years old and amassed a 4-3 record as an amateur losing her last bout via guillotine choke to Kainya Rain.

"It wasn't me in the cage. I'm a jiu-jitsu girl," Gaza said. "I know how to get out of a guillotine. I needed that loss because it did me some good. It shot my confidence level back up," she said.

When Gaza makes her pro debut this weekend in the co-main event of Ultimate Warrior Fighting's Tournament of Warriors Round 3, she will be featured in the co-main event of the night.

"Usually right about now I am eight pounds or so over, today I am only five pounds, so I'm ahead of the game," Gaza said in reference to making weight for this weekend's fight.

Gaza said that she added a kickboxing coach to her regimen and is working tremendously on her standup.

"I feel just as confident on my feet as I do on the ground. I didn't have that before," she said. "My eyes are more open as far as the standup game goes."

What separates this fighting vixen from most female fighters her age is promotion. Gaza is one of the fastest rising stars due to personality, training camps (Gracie Barra and she has also trained with Greg Jackson's stable of fighters), and dedication and strive to reach the top.

According to our last interview with Gaza it also helps that "I don't look like a guy."

Prediction for Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen

"I'm going with Silva. I heard he was injured getting ready for that first fight. I think he is gonna bring it quick this time around. I'm actually going to that fight," she said.
