Someone's undefeated record is in jeopardy come August 11 as undefeated prospects Tyler Hellenbrand and Jimmy Kim have been matched against one another at Madtown Throwdown 28.

Confirmed by Madtown Throwdown promoter Pat O'Malley, the lightweight battle between Hellenbrand (4-0) and Kim (5-0) should be one of the night's most intriguing contests.

Fighting out of the Chosen Few near Madison, Hellenbrand has quietly emerged as one of Wisconsin's most promising young fighters. Blessed with a well-rounded mixture of striking, wrestling, and submission skills, Hellenbrand has followed up an impressive amateur career with an even stronger start in the professional ranks.

Since earning a victory via disqualification in his pro debut against Jason Tunks, Hellenbrand has went on to defeat Jordan Griffin, Bobby Ferrier, and most recently earned a unanimous decision win over Gino DiGuilio at Madtown Throwdown 27.

Likewise, it has been a special start for the career of Central Illinois Combat Club competitor Jimmy Kim. After turning pro back in October of 2008, Kim has rattled off five straight victories including a recent unanimous decision win over Dustin Yule at "3 River Throwdown" in May.

Despite the recent loss of Lenny Nelson in the night's main event due to injury, Madtown Throwdown 28 looks to be yet another strong card filled with talent from across the Midwest. Stay tuned to US Combat Sports for all breaking news about the card and complete MTTD coverage.
