Where Are They Now: Jeremy Horn Discusses Longevity
With over 100 fights under his belt Jeremy Horn is one of the most experienced fighters in history. Helping the sport evolve into what it is today, Horn has successfully run a school in Utah while still continuing to compete himself. The UFC Veteran discusses his longevity, his upcoming fight, and his overall love for combat sports.
With a MMA career stint back to the early 90’s how has MMA evolved in your eyes?
Jeremy: MMA has changed quite a bit from the "old" days. Lots of rules and regulations have been added to make it safer. Its gotten way more organized.
Being a veteran in this sport how have you been able to keep current with the ever evolving time?
Jeremy: I'm a fan of the sport as well so I’m always watching fights and trying to learn where I can. The sport is always changing so I can’t let it pass me by.
You’ve had a lot of great fights in your career, what has been some of your greatest memories in the sport?
Jeremy: I can’t name just one, I’ve had so many great fights with so many great fighters.
Still continuing to compete yourself, how important is it for you to keep growing as a fighter?
Jeremy: It’s everything. As I said before I can’t let the sport pass me by.
Now a days you also find yourself running a great school in Utah. How has your years of experience contributed toward helping your students?
Jeremy: It has given me a lot of experience to try to pass on to my guys but some things have to be experienced to really get. So they still have to do a lot of hard work.
Speaking of training, do you have any upcoming fights in the future?
Jeremy: Yeah, I’m fighting in Canada on July 16.
With so many accomplishments already under your belt, do you have any more goals you want to accomplish?
Jeremy: I just like to fight. The only thing I want to do is win my next fight. That’s all that matters to me.
Finally do you have any shout outs or anything you would like to say to your fans?
Jeremy: I have to thank all the guys at the gym who help me train day in and day out first. Also, Built To Fight gear helps me out a lot. They have great gear.
