Local Combat Sports Now Receiving the Media Coverage It Deserves.
21 January 2010
On January 9th 2010 US Combat Sports launched five new websites covering ten states to provide the local combat sports coverage everyone is craving. The new websites, officially launched by UFC/Pride/Strikeforce veteran Dan Henderson [pictured], provide full pre- and post- local event coverage, up-to-date local event calendar, gym directory, local event photo and videos, and interviews and features on local fighters and gyms.
Additionally, a large component of the new USCS websites is the online community including an online local form and social networking section called “The Locker Room”. The Locker Room allows users to create their own combat sports profile, upload their own photos and videos, write blogs, and create groups. It will even integrate with the user’s facebook and twitter accounts to increase functionality.
Since launching the first state website in 2007 in Wisconsin, US Combat Sports has drawn huge fighter, fan, trainer, and promoter enthusiasm for this new angle on combat sports. “There are many sites out there covering the big shows like the UFC©,” Says US Combat Sports owner Luke Summerfield. “We are on a mission to provide the same, and better coverage on a state and regional level.”
All combat sports fighters, fans, trainers or promoters are encouraged to visit their state website and set up their profile page now. Create a group for your gym, add and invite your friends, and upload your videos and pictures. Start promoting and growing the local combat sports community
