Chris Ligouri sets sights on Bellator
Ring of Combat lightweight champion and number one ranked MATCS lightweight, Chris “The Story” Liguori (10-8) is ready for the big show. According to a source close to his camp, Liguori's management has been talking with the rising promotion about adding him to the next Bellator lightweight tournament. Liguori is certainly no stranger to the level of competition that can be found at the Bellator lightweight tournament. A veteran of both EliteXC and the UFC, The Story has been trained by UFC contender Ricardo Almeida and worked with UFC number one lightweight contender Frankie Edgar.

In spite of his professional record, Liguori is fairly poised to return to the national stage. Only three of his career losses have come in the last three years and his camp is very confident that he could not only win the lightweight tournament, but match up well against Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.

Liguori will be defending his Ring of Combat title on Feb. 19th in Lou Neglia's Ring of Combat XXVIII against TUF season 4 contestant Gideon Ray.
