solomonhutchersonAccording to sources, a matchup between Solomon Hutcherson and Jason McDonald has been agreed upon for Maximum Fighting Championship 23 in December.

“King” Solomon, who was a contestant on the third season of The Ultimate Fighter reality series, is fresh off of a unanimous decision victory over Dave Mewborn in February.

The Roufusport fighter has won five of his last six fights, with his only loss being a fifth round TKO to David Loiseau in Septmeber of 2008.

Hutcherson’s opponent, MacDonald, has not been on as impressive of a streak.  “The Athlete” has lost his last three contests, including a unanimous decision loss last Friday to former Ultimate Fighter 4 series winner Travis Lutter.

Both Hutcherson and MacDonald will be entering the cage on December 4, with an abundance of experience.

Hutcherson has had memorable matchups with veterans Jon Fitch, Jorge Rivera, Rob Smith, Luigi Fioravanti, David Loiseau, and many others.

MacDonald’s opponent list reads just as impressively; Patrick Cote, Chris Leben, Rich Franklin, Yushin Okami, and Demian Maia are just a few of the respected competitors that the Canadian has faced.

MacDonald will more than likely have the support of the home crowd behind him as the bout will take place on December 4, at the River Cree Resort & Casino in Edmonton.

Maximum Fighting Championship, which is based out of Canada, has been extremely successful as late with a strong roster.  Along with Hutcherson and MacDonald, the organization’s roster also consists of Thales Leites, Bobby Lashley, Pat Healy, Marvin Eastman, David Heath, Luigi Fioravanti, Travis Lutter, and Pete Spratt.

The fight will be Hutcherson’s second stint in the organization.  His first was at MFC 20 “Destined for Greatness” in which he recorded the aforementioned unanimous decision victory over Mewborn.
