East Stroudsburg, PA’s, Team Chamber and AMA Fight Club of Whippany, N.J., fighter Rich Patishnock, recently signed to fight Igor Gracie (5-3) in Atlantic City, March 23 under the World Series of Fighting promotion.

The WSOF 2 main event is between two former UFC competitors, former heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski and Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson.

Patishnock,( 4-1) alternates training between Chamber and AMA and said told USCS he would not be where he is if it were not for coaches at both camps and the entire training staff and teams at both locations.

The 25-year-old fighter recently went to Facebook to thank several of his coaches and training partners. “Just wanna quickly thank everyone that's helping me out, obviously I'm getting ready for the biggest fight of my life! Details will be posted soon, but I wanna thank everyone at Chamber MMA all my teammates and coach Don Cioffi, everyone at AMA Fight Club, and coach Mike Constantino, Joe Fye, Richie Gates and Jimy Hettes from northeastern, Kru Sean Cheryl from world class boxing getting my striking crisp. Bobby Cartalemi from Muscle Inc., and Jeremy Hubbard.”

It will be nearly 11 months since Patishnock last saw action. The New Jerseyan had a fight scheduled for November of 2012 however Hurricane Sandy thought otherwise and the entire fight card was scrapped all together.

After racking off four consecutive wins Patishnock suffered defeat at the hands of Tenyeh Dixon at Xtreme Caged Combat: Relentless last April.

His opponent, Gracie, is a member of the legendary Gracie Family and earned his BJJ black belt through the Gracie Barra Academy. He currently fights out of New York where he teaches at the Renzo Gracie Academy.

This upcoming WSOF fight card is stacked with former UFC, Strikeforce and WEC fighters and champions. Patishnock said he is extremely happy to be a part of such a big show.

“At first I didn’t believe it,” he said. “My brother showed me the fight card and said ‘see that TBD next to Igor Gracie? You are that to be determined fighter.’”
