Absolute Grappling Grand Prix Set for Tomorrow at Wisconsin State Fair with Stacked Lineup of Grapplers (UPDATE)

Absolute Grappling Grand Prix Set for Tomorrow at Wisconsin ...

The level of competition at tomorrow's Absolute Grappling Grand Prix is fierce.

The 11 confirmed contestants include a number of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts, an Olympic wrestler and Bellator champion, a former Combat USA champion, and a host of talented grapplers.

Set to take place at the Wisconsin State Fair on the Jeffrey Scott Activities Stage at 1 p.m., the North American Fighting Championship sponsored event is free for all competitors and awards a first place prize of $1,000 and a second place purse of $500.

Here are the competitors confirmed for the competition:

  • Ben Askren – Olympic wrestler and Bellator Welterweight Champion
  • Raphael Barbosa – BJJ Black Belt from Luiz Claudio Combat Team
  • Joao "Mosquito" Bosco - BJJ Black Belt from Luiz Claudio Combat Team
  • Lyndon Viteri – BJJ Black Belt from Chicago Fight Team
  • Gerald Meerschaert – Combat USA 2010 Middleweight Champion
  • Chris Garcia – BJJ Purple Belt from Team Brasa
  • Tony Senner – WMMA Open 3 Champion from Red Schafer Mixed Martial Arts
  • Karl Turek – Pro MMA Fighter from Red Schafer Mixed Martial Arts
  • Tim Tyson – BJJ Blue Belt from Neutral Ground
  • Jake Klipp – BJJ Blue Belt and Owner of Pura Vida Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
  • Rob Couillard – Pro MMA Fighter from Pura Vida Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
  • Chris Senner - Combat Corner, NCGA Competitor from Red Schafer MMA

UPDATE: Duke Roufus informed USCS that up-and-coming grappler Chris Senner has been added to the roster.
