Absolute Grappling Grand Prix Hits Wisconsin State Fair with Askren, Meerschaert, Bosco and More on August 5
What do cream puffs, deep-fried butter, and world-class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu all have in common?
Well, besides being three things you'll usually find Dan Downes discussing on Twitter, they are also staples of this year's Wisconsin State Fair.
Hosted by the North American Fighting Championships' Duke Roufus and Scott Joffe, the "Absolute Grappling Grand Prix", an ultra-competitive 16-person grappling tournament on August 5, will feature the likes of Ben Askren, Gerald Meerschaert, Joao "Mosquito" Bosco, Raphael Barbosa, and Karl Turek.
The "Absolute Grappling Grand Prix" is free for all competitors attending and will award a first place prize of $1,000 and a second place reward of $500. Set to take place at the Jeffrey Scott Activity Stage at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 5, the exciting competition could play host to the most stacked grappling talent within the state in quite some time.
Stay tuned to US Combat Sports for any new additions to the 16-man roster and also make sure to contact the North American Fighting Championship if interested in competing.
