Wisconsin's welterweight rankings could undergo a major shakeup as a 170-pound clash between undefeated knockout artists Matt Gauthier and Mike "Biggie" Rhodes has been pegged for the Rogue Warrior Championships in Green Bay on September 6.

Featuring two of the state's most electrifying strikers, Gauthier versus Rhodes pits together two combatants looking to further their unblemished records and hopefully impress some national talent scouts in the process.

Nominated for Wisconsin's Rookie of the Year Award in 2011 following victories over Rashid Abdullah, Larry Gordon-Badillo, and Gary Bivens, Gauthier traveled into enemy territory back in May earning a split decision win over Isreal Lozano in the process. The victory increased his perfect professional record to 4-0 and established him as a dangerous player in the welterweight division.

Looking to avenge his Roufusport teammate's defeat Rhodes enters the September matchup brimming with confidence. Since making his move to Milwaukee last year "Biggie" has impressed with a unanimous decision win over Zak Ottow and a dominating stoppage against Torry Berendes at Madtown Throwdown 28.

As a new crop of fighters begins to stake their claims atop the Wisconsin rankings, Roufusport's Rhodes and Combat Training Center's Gauthier both look to propel their careers with a win over the other. Expect fireworks when the hard-hitting welterweights enter the cage inside Green Bay's Oneida Casino next month.
