Rick Glenn Stops Tristan Johnson at Score Fighting Series 5; Is 'The Gladiator' UFC Ready?
Rick Glenn seems to improve each and every time he steps into the cage as the Roufusport featherweight improved his unbeaten streak to nine with a decisive second round stoppage over Canadian prospect Tristan Johnson at theScore Fighting Series 5 in Hamilton, Ontario over the weekend.
Continuing to showcase that he has what it takes to thrive against top-level opponents, "The Gladiator" utilized an impressive array of takedowns and ground-and-pound before forcing the stoppage at 4:26 into the second round.
Having not lost a bout in nearly 30-months, the Iowan has looked unstoppable since making the move to Milwaukee to train alongside the likes of Ben Askren, Erik Koch, and Anthony Pettis. The win helps to further the question: Is Glenn ready for the UFC?
With his record now standing at 11-2-1, Glenn now finds himself squarely on the doorstep of a national promotion such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship. After winning on Saturday night, "The Gladiator" called out respected veteran Chris Horodecki in hopes of earning yet another signature victory.
