Sportfight X, under the new ownership of Adam Gibbs and company, took their show out of Georgia for the first time in January of 2011 and is now making their home in Alabama.

With one fight in Huntsville earlier this year, the promotion returning on July 28 with another show of both professional and amateur action including a stacked fight card featuring competitors from Alabama and Georgia.

Headlining the amateur portion of the card will be University of Alabama football standout turned MMA fighter Eryk Anders returning to the cage to take on Nathan Gaylord. The main event has title implications on the line as Anders holds the Tennessee ISKA Light Heavyweight title and Gaylord the Strikehard Productions 205-pound strap.

Triad's Daniel O'Brien is also on the card and will meet Georgia fighter Kendrick Miree from Trammel Fitness & Martial Arts. Stephen Wilhite, also from Triad, will face Florida's Chad "The Punisher" Livingston from in his pro debut.

A number of camps around the area are set to compete upon the upcoming Sportfight X card this weekend. Cage MMA, based out of Moody, will have undefeated Elliot Conn take on Georgia State Wrestling Champion Casey Colson.

Conn's teammate Craig McAlpin will compete against Eric Neal from Jason Sanderson's Camp. Noah Parson was supposed to fight but has been sick for some time and was unable to successfully complete his training camp.

Spartan Fitness out of Birmingham, Alabama will also be featuring several fighters from their gym. Anthony Hoyte will challenge Raul Estrada, Spartan teammate Omar Johnson will face Corey D. Jones, and Billy Bradshaw will stand across from Daniel Whisenant.

Team Triad also stands out with three competitors on the card in Daniel O'Brien, Stephen Wilhite, and Matt Ward. O'Brien will challenge Moyses Gabin, Wilhite will challenge the aforementioned Livingston, and Ward will stand across from Allen Little.

On the same day -- and just one and half hours away -- The Fight Party under the ownership of Bret Moses and matchmaking by Richard Cox will be making its debut promotional event in Montgomery. Some great fights will also be happening here so stay tuned for part two of this article coming to you from USCS later this week.

Also, local Alabama fighter David "D'Mac" McAfee is nearing his return from the injured list and will be soon taking on a fight out of state. This may be D'Macs biggest fight to date so stay tuned for more details.
