Ronda Rousey - The Newest Member of Team Cesar Gracie?
Is Ronda Rousey officially a part of Team Cesar Gracie? Only Ronda Rousey and Cesar Gracie themselves can answer that, but the current Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion has been spending a lot of time training with the likes of Nick and Nate Diaz, two of the most well-known members of the Gracie Fight Team.
Videos and photos have surfaced all over the internet of the fighters training together over the past few months, but it was not until today that a video was uploaded to the official BJ Penn YouTube account where Gracie was asked about Rousey's involvement or status with the camp.
"She's definitely on the team, um we haven't made any official anything, you know. She's training with us, she's part of us," Gracie said."If she's like hardcore representing us, we haven't had that discuss yet. She's living down in L.A. obviously, and she's not from the 209 (area code) or the 415 area codes or wherever our schools are at, but uh, she's definitely, I definitely think she's a team member," Gracie said.
So if Ronda does officially become a member of the team does that mean the pronunciation of her name will become Honda Housey?
For those of you not understanding the joke.....the language spoken in Brazil is Portuguese and words beginning with the letter "R" are pronounced with the sound of the letter "H" Example Royce Gracie, is Hoyce, Renzo is Henzo, Rickson is Hickson.
