    This Saturday, March 15, UFC 171 heads to the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Tx. The stacked fight card is available for purchase on pay-per-view and is headed by two heavy handed strikers duking it out for the vacant welterweight title.

    There are 13 fights in all on the card and below in this article, USCS reporter and MMA Journalist, Eric Kowal, gives his predictions as to how things will unfold.

    Renzo Gracie black belt, Tom DeBlass, is probably the nicest person on the planet next to your mother, but that does not mean he won’t put up a fight.

    Currently assigned to the Bellator 205-pound roster, DeBlass, a former middleweight with rival organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, believes he has what it takes to take down Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, former UFC light heavyweight champion who now also fights for the Bellator label.

  • Former world champion boxer Antonio Cermeno found shot to death

    Former world champion boxer Antonio Cermeno was kidnapped and killed in his native Venezuela, police said Tuesday.

    Cermeno, a World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight (max weight 122 pounds) and featherweight (max weight 126 pounds) champion in the 1990s, was found shot to death Tuesday on a road in the central state of Miranda, local police chief Eliseo Guzman said.

    Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar made the short trip via the Garden State Parkway North to park himself at Tiff’s Bar and Grill in Pequannock, N.J., alongside UFC middleweight stand out, Uriah Hall last night, just hours after the UFC 169 weigh-ins were held at the Prudential Center in Newark.

    The private event was put on by MMA Signatures and MMA Fight Music Producer and National Recording Artist, Mikey Rukus.

  • UFC 169: Long Island's Al Iaquinta Plans on Ruining Detroit's Kevin Lee's UFC Debut

    Tonight on UFC 169 prelims Long Island’s Al “Raging” Iaquinta jumps into the cage for his fourth UFC match. Iaquinta is set to fight Detroit’s Kevin “The Motown Phenom” Lee. The lightweight battle is between UFC new-comer Lee and Iaquinta, whom holds a 2-1 record inside the octagon. Prelim fights are set to take place on FS1 at 8 P.M. EST.

    The UFC new-comer Kevin Lee makes his debut as an undefeated fighter. His 7-0 record is on the line. He has finished his last four opponents by the way of submission.

  • Dolce-Approved Honey Ginger Chicken Wings for the Big Game

    This Sunday more Americans will consume chicken wings than on any other day of the year.

    According to the National Chicken Council’s 2014 Wing Report, 1.25 billion wings will be devoured during Super Bowl XLVIII, as fans watch the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos battle for the Lombardi Trophy, matching the record level of 2012. That is about 20 million more wings than were consumed last year during Super Bowl XLVII.

  • Ring of Combat 47: Chris Wade Chokes Out Pat Defranco for Lightweight Belt

    Friday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey Chris Wade of Long Island MMA finished Pat Defranco to bring home the Ring of Combat lightweight belt. The title fight for the vacant weight class was the main event of the evening. The Ring of Combat XLVII event was held in the Garden State at Tropicana Casino and Resort. The fights started at 8:30 EST. and were for purchase on GFL.TV.

    Pat Defranco (4-2) entered the fight with high expectations. The lightweight fights out of Serra-Longo on Long Island. Defranco entered into the bout with Wade on a two fight win streak. All six of his professional bouts have been with in the Ring of Combat organization.
