    Saturday night, May 11, at the historic Eagles Club Grand Ballroom in Milwaukee, North American Fighting Championships presented Knockout Kings Road to Glory featured an 8-man lightweight Muay Thai tournament. The undercard began at 4 p.m. featuring 17 amateur bouts. The main card started at 7:30 p.m. with a reserved match in case any fighter cannot continue due to injury. Main card consisted of 13 bouts.

    Another great night ofmixed martial artsactionwent downat Marathon Music Works this past Saturday night, May 11,in Tennessee. Two champions successfully defended their V3 titles and the organization crowned a new champion as well. The USCS Fight of the Night, hands down goes to Manny Trujilloand Langston Stevenson as these two warriors battled it out back and forth for two and a half rounds, which ultimately ended when Trujillo took the win via TKO over Stevenson.

David Elder, one of the owners for SHP contacted an old friend of his and asked him to fight on their upcoming show. That friendwas former UFC fighter, John Salter. Salter who now lives in Fresno, California and trains at DethroneBase Camp is a former fighter coming out of Tuscaloosa’s Headhunters gym.

    At the North American Fighting Championship “BattleGround,” the co-main event was between featherweights, “Captain” Morgan Sickinger and Jose Pacheco. This fight was action packed for the full three rounds and lasted the entire fifteen minutes. The non-stopcontest included kicks, strikes, takedowns, reversals, and submission attempts throughout the war between the 145-pounders, March 29 at Potawatomi Bingo Casino.

    The North American Fighting Championships main event featured Sergio Pettis of Roufusport-Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Josh Robsinson of EVA/TGA/MIS-Toledo, Ohio. Last time Robinson came to Wisconsin, he defeated Pettis’ team mate Dustin Ortiz. The two fighters went the full three rounds battling an action packed fifteen minutes. In the first round Pettis came out dancing around the cage as he picked Robinson apart. His nasty kicks landed on various locations of the body of his opponent.   • NCAA Wrestling Championships: Alex Dieringer of Oklahoma State Facing St. John of Iowa in Semi-Finals

    Des Moines, IA- Alex Dieringer wrestling out of Oklahoma State advances to the semi-finals of the NCAA National Wrestling Championships. The Red-shirt freshman entered the tournament with a sixth seed in the 157-pound weight class. In the semi-finals he will wrestle the number two seed Derek St. John of Iowa. Dieringer hails from Port Washington, Wisconsin, where he won two Wisconsin state titles in 2007 at 103 and in 2009 at 140, as well as finishing runner-up in 2008 at 125-pounds. He wrestled at Port Washington High school under Head Coach Angelo LaRossa.
  • NCAA Wrestling National Championships: Dake and Taylor On Track To Meet In Finals At 165

    March “MATness” kicked off this morning at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa; with the first round of intense crowd cheering action. Every wrestler that makes the NCAA national championships has one goal in mind, to win the title of their weight class. Returning national champions Kyle Dake, David Taylor, Ed Ruth all continued their quest towards another crown. Each weight class begins with 34 wrestlers in the bracket. There are twelve seeded wrestlers in each weight class and the rest are placed by a random draw. Losers in the first round are sent over to the consolation bracket where they will face a win or go home scenario.
