Sam Alvey's TUF Blog: The Semifinals Matched
So this week's episode started with an explanation from Mr. Snake about his bite heard around the world. He came back stage after the fight and told all of us "I may be a piece of Sh!t for it but I bit him and I did it intentional, I just really didn't want to lose." We all thought it was a weird thing to do but none of us really faulted him for doing it. However, Dana did. Dana was furious that someone would stoop so low as to cheat like that on his show, but he did give Snake the chance to explain himself and Snake told him the same thing he told us. Dana was still upset but he forgave him, and all was back to being right in the world. Now fast forward a day or two an... -
Why The Big Ten Is the Best Wrestling Conference and Will Repeat as National Champs
The Big Ten is the best conference in college wrestling. Need proof? Last year, Penn State University repeated as National champions and all but three individual champions came from the Big Ten Conference. As well, a Big Ten school has served as National Champion over the past six years. According to NCAA.com's rankings, four out of the top five teams are Big Ten. Oklahoma cracked the top five sliding into third. Eight teams overall are ranked in the polls with six (Minnesota, PSU, Iowa, Illinois, OSU, Nebraska) in the top ten and the last two (Michigan, Northwestern) falling into the 13, 14 ranked spots. At the 2012 NCAA National Championships, Penn State advanced five wrestlers to t... -
Sam Alvey's TUF Blog: 'I will leave everything in that Octagon or die trying'
Well this week's episode was chock-full of everything, and it all started with Dana's "coming to Jesus moment" he had with us in the house. We all hoped it was going to be with some good news... It wasn't. He came and we all ended up just about crying by the end of it. He told us all that we suck, we are terrible, and that we will likely not be fighting on the finale. I would be lying if I told you it didn't scare the hell out of me because it did. Some of the members of our house didn't take it so seriously though. Ricci just ignored it saying he was just trying to scare us and the win is all that is important. Bristol told us Dana gave the same speech a... -
