    Former world champion boxer Antonio Cermeno was kidnapped and killed in his native Venezuela, police said Tuesday.

    Cermeno, a World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight (max weight 122 pounds) and featherweight (max weight 126 pounds) champion in the 1990s, was found shot to death Tuesday on a road in the central state of Miranda, local police chief Eliseo Guzman said.

  • Nursing student, Anna Moore, mixing it up with Muay Thai

    Undefeated at 4-0, 22 year-old Anna Moore is not your typical female fighter. Currently enrolled in nursing school at Saint Anthony College of Nursing, Moore can put your lights out with a punch or a kick and has hopes to bring you back to, and stitch you back up after putting you down.

    Moore, fighting at 145 lbs., out of Delarosa’s Submission Wrestling Academy in Rockford, Ill., says fighting is her passion but nursing is her true love.
