The stories and reviews have all credited Anderson Silva's black belt in jiu jitsu for his fight-winning, 'Hail Mary' triangle choke in his seventh title defense on Saturday. On Saturday night, the North American Fighting Championship invaded the Wisconsin State Fair with a concise yet exciting “Relentless” card. The evening’s main event saw Nick Agallar continue his winning ways with a first round submission over Nick Dupees.

For 23 minutes, Chael Sonnen looked like he was going to come through on his promise of "punching a hole in Anderson Silva's face." Then, in 10 quick seconds, the fight completely turned. Silva (27-4), who had been on his back for nearly the entire fight, threw up his leg and snapped on a textbook triangle choke. Sonnen pulled away as hard as he could, but Silva had it cinched, and Sonnen (25-11-1) did the only thing he could. Tap.
