Jackson’s MMA and the Bernalillo County Deputies’ Association announced that they have reached their goal of raising ten thousand dollars for Deputy Robin Hopkins. Jackson credits the generosity of over 120 donors, who achieved this in just one week.
Due to the overwhelming support and because donations continue to pour in for “Fighting for Robin,” they have decided to raise the goal to fifteen thousand dollars.
The King of the Cage returns with an all amatuer show featuring top talent from around the Southwest. "Future Legends 18" is set for Saturday October 5th at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Albuquerque.

Bellator MMA returns to Albuquerque, New Mexico Wednesday, July 31st as the Santa Ana Star Center will play host to a Bellator Lightweight World Title fight as defending Bellator Champion Michael Chandler puts his title on the line against David “The Caveman” Rickels, while Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren will defend his title against Russian phenom Andrey Koreskov live on Spike, as well in Spanish language on mun2. The night will also feature the Light Heavyweight Tournament Final as King Mo faces the electric Jacob Noe, while Heavyweights collide as Vitaly Minakov battles Ryan Martinez in the Bellator Tournament Final. The Bantamweight Summer Series Tournament will also begin, as Rafael Silva will battle Rodrigo Lima, while Anthony Leone will take on Bellator newcomer Frank Baca.
The Jackson’s MMA Series returns August 10th and will be presented by The Downs Racetrack & Casino and EXPO New Mexico at Tingley Coliseum! The Jackson’s MMA Series has become the premiere MMA fight promotion in the Southwest and has launched multiple fighters to the next level.
Jackson’s MMA Series Veterans include TUF 14 Featherweight Champion Diego Brandao and TUF 14 Veteran Johnny Bedford. In addition, multiple series fighters have been signed by the UFC including Henry Martinez, Julie Kedzie, Isaac Valle-Flagg and Buddy Roberts .
Local boxing promoters Joe and Isabel Chavez are back with another carefully crafted card featuring undefeated Christain Cabral (5-0-1) putting his unbeaten streak on the line against experienced ring vet Joe Gomez (18-7-1, 8 KOs). The card titled "Aztec Warriors" is scheduled for June 28th at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
"We're not looking to set our fighters up with easy tune up fights, the boxing fans of New Mexico deserve to see more," said Joe Chavez at yesterdays press conference, reiterating their commitment to competitive matchups.
Always competitve Victoria "Reina De La Guerra" Cisneros (9-14-2, 3 KOs) will rep the Duke City against Tyler Texas' Kita Watkins (7-10-0). Both Women will work hard to add to their Win column.
Headed by Sal Mora and JR Rodriguez, Triple AAA MMA announced their debut show for April 28th at the Spanish Village on the State Fair grounds. Headlining will be Felipe Chavez representing Mean 1 taking on Ron White of Lovato Total Fitness. The promotions tagline is "Win to get in" suggesting bigger things to come for it's winners.
Tickets go on sale April 6th ranging from $25-$75 and can be purchased through orthrustickets.com. This is a daytime summer event with doors opening at 1:30pm, first bell at 2:00pm.
Additional entertainment will be provided by local band Sex for Admission performing live with DJ Diamond Tip.
