  • Angelica Chavez Joins the XFC Women's Atomweight Roster

    Xtreme Fighting Championship has been at the forefront of WMMA since 2010, featuring the likes of Marianna Kheyfets, Felice Herrig, Carla Esparza, Kim Couture, and Heather Clark to name a few. The rising promotion announced this morning it will add the first member of the women's Atomweight division with Angelica Chavez of the Chavez Dojo in Albuquerque, New Mexico signing a multi-fight deal over the weekend. Chavez has a pro record of 4-2 and has been involved in martial arts since childhood training at her family's dojo. She started her career 4-0, with four finishes by submission before dropping a pair of close decisions.

  • Carlos Condit: 'Hopefully a few good fights and be back in title contention'

    Carlos Condit is a rare fighter, one who combines methodical planning and rabid aggression, creating chaos and capitalizing on openings it creates in his opponents. This of course, is his job, his workplace, the UFC Octagon. At 28 years old and sporting a 28-6 record Condit's experience belies his age. He turned pro at 18 - the earliest age allowed by law - and proceeded to smash the MMA learning curve. On November 17th Condit had the biggest fight of his amazing career, a unanimous decision loss to venerable champ Georges St. Pierre. It was a five round battle in St. Pierre's home town of Montreal.
