While some had expressed doubts that Holm could pack out a venue with MMA, the same way she did with her boxing, she laid those doubts to rest, as she walked, or rather bounced out, to her traditional song, with the entire venue of 3000 on their feet, clapping and screaming.

    SW Grapplefest 12 is scheduled for February 8, 2014 at the new Las Cruces Convention Center. Last year's Grapplefest 8 was the first in Las Cruces for the Combat Sports Club and had over 350 competitors in attendance. Based onthe success ofGrapplefest 8 the City of Las Cruces reached out in an effort to find a better venue. The Las Cruces Convention Center is barely a year old and has all the ammenities of a first class event center.

Carlos Condit is that rare athlete, an MMA fighter who has enjoyed the highest level of success for over a decade. Condit began his professional fighting career at the tender age of eighteen and has since amassed a record of 29-7, taking out a who’s who of the sport along the way. He earned championship gold in the World Extreme Fighting championship, a title he defended three times until the UFC came calling.
